Allan M. Migdall – Outstanding Performance In Quantum Optics

Our day to day work is made simple by many scientific researches that have made vast technical developments. Anywhere you see there are so many devices that are being made use of to help us work at ease.

Science has facilitated man kind to unveil the anxiety of many unknown facts. In science, recognizing the theoretical features is also needed, which is developed by deep research and practice.

With the help of science, today we can see a lot of things, which was not possible to be viewed with the naked eyes. New processes can be well understood through scientific theory.

To reveal these theories, a person should have an insight to break through the complications of that new process. These skills are possessed by Allan M. Migdall, who recognizes the deduction of different scientific researches very well.

Allan’s Achievements as a Scientist

Allan Migdall is a physicist, and has studied in the area of Quantum Optics. Thus, he has been carrying out research in the field of Quantum Measurement sector. Very few science wizards have taken part in the deep researches regarding the Quantum theory and Mr. Allan is included in these few.

The subject of his researches includes single photon sources, detectors, processors, cryptography quantum and quantum memory. At National Institute, he handles the department of Quantum Optics group.

At Maryland University, he is partly affiliated to Joint Quantum Institute and America’s Physical Society. Simultaneously, he is connected to Photo Optical Instrumentation Engineers as well as America’s Optical Society.

Various Seminars Headed by Mr. Allan

For the development of his keenness and achievements in his preferred areas, he has carried out various workshops and seminars on the topics including single photon detector and how to tackle its sources. He also wrote and published the book titled ‘Single Photon Detector’. Later, this book was sanctioned by NIST.

Since the year 2011, the metrology researches are still taking place in UK and Italy regularly in a laboratory. Seminars regarding metrology and its functions were also organized, where Allan M. Migdall was the head of this meeting.

Adding to his various accomplishments Mr. Allan, frequently gives lectures in different universities and colleges. He is a guide to many booming students in creating an opportunity for them in the areas regarding research and science.

Due to his contribution in 1984, he was honored with NRC, a post doctoral fellowship. In 2009, he won a bronze medal for different attainments handed over by the American Physical Society.
